1. You have to have a clean canvas = clear skin. I use the Lumiere De Vie cleanser with the toner. I use the whole Lumiere De Vie kit. Having clear skin allows the products to go on smoothly. Plus you don't have to apply too much makeup to cover up blemishes and other imperfections.
2. Highlight. You want to highlight the areas to make your features stick out. For example, eyebrow should definitely be one for everyone. Cheeks is another feature that you want to highlight. As you see in the picture, I highlight the bridge of my nose, upperlip, and chin. Also if you notice, I highlighted my jawline too.
2. Contouring. Now unlike highlighting, contouring can vary for each person because of there face shape. With contouring, we are hiding the features to make our face appear oval, slim nose, high cheekbone, and fuller lips. For myself, I contour my nose mainly. I don't really need to do my cheeks but I do sometimes. =]
3. Blend. Now this part crucial! Because if you don't blend it correctly than we see the demarcation between the two; highlight & contour. However depending on how dark or light you went with the highlighting and contouring, you will see a difference.
4. Setting. Now some people put their foundation on first, I put in on last. Putting it on last makes everything blend in nicely for me. You can do it the way you prefer. I put on my liquid custom foundation then powder... last but not least my 10 year younger setting spray!
