The Battle of the SKIN TIGHTENING

Venus Freeze vs. Ultherapy

New technology is constantly hitting the market. As a consumer you don’t always know what is better. Advertisement, commercials, and social medical just seems to get in the way.

Skin tightening is a major topic. Venus Freeze and Ultherapy are technologies that I have personally used and seen results. However you have to be an educated consumer. Both are great treatments but then again you have to see what is better for you.

Ultherapy uses ultrasound energy to penetrate deep in the skin causing the body’s natural healing process to lift, tone, and tighten skin. Unlike Laser, the ultrasound technology bypasses the top layer of the skin and goes directly where collagen lives. This treatment can only be performed on the face and neck.

This non-invasive treatment takes around 60-90 minutes depending on the area being treated. The Ultherapy website says, “No preparation whatsoever is required…” but I believe you need to prepare yourself for some discomfort. Some clients need numbing cream, over-the-counter or prescribed medication prior to the treatment… It is a painful treatment! The hand piece is like a topically laser hand piece. (For a technician point of view, it is heavy and can be a long 60 minutes. Not to mention while holding the hand piece you have to press a button on top each time.)

Venus Freeze is a technology that uses a combination of Radio Frequency and Magnetic Pulses to safety and comfortably reach deep within the skin. Collagen fibers are heated up which results in skin tightening and fat reduction. The thermal reaction in the tissue stimulates the body’s natural healing response. Resulting in new collagen to form and produce new elastic fibers.

This non-invasive treatment can be used to reduce circumference, improve cellulite, skin tightening, and reduce the appearance of wrinkle! The Venus Freeze can be done on the body and face, which including arms, abdomen, thighs, buttocks, neck and face. Treatments usually take 25-30 minutes per treatment, per area.

What more could you want! ... Plus it’s painless! BONUS POINTS! Some clients even find the treatment relaxing and compare it to a hot-stone massage! The wands used for the treatment gives a smooth feeling.

[If you follow me on Facebook, Pinterest, or instragram, I posted pictures of my husband after I did his treatment.]

So which one do you pick? I no longer work for a practice that provides Ultherapy though you can find a provider near you on their website I do however work at Astoria Med Spa that does provide Venus Freeze. Mention this blog and I will offer 1 free Venus Free to try out. Just cause I love my followers =]
